We are looking for a motivated individual who is committed to growing their professional career at Brymark while gaining valuable knowledge and experience through a variety of assignments.
Responsibilities

Regularly monitor safety compliance of workers and subcontractors; conduct site inspections and institute remedial action if required.

Maintain statistics and records and monitor accident/incident frequencies and safety violations.

Review documentation for accuracy and provide feedback to personnel.
-
Assist in the planning and start-up of new projects with respect to safety issues.
-
Inventory safety related training of workers; conduct new worker safety orientations.

Conduct safety training and toolbox talks.
-
Keep management current on the status of any issue(s) that may impact on the work being performed.

Prepare site safety plans.
-
Promote and model safe working conditions.

Enforce safety regulations and safe work practices.
-
Conduct hazard assessments.
-
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses as required.

Prepare and maintain thorough documentation and reports.
Qualifications / Requirements
-
4 year degree in Occupational Health & Safety required
-
OFA Level 2 required
-
Internal Auditor certification designation required
-
Minimum 4 years of field safety experience, preferably in an industrial construction or marine environment
