We are looking for a motivated individual who is committed to growing their professional career at Brymark while gaining valuable knowledge and experience through a variety of assignments.

Responsibilities

• Regularly monitor safety compliance of workers and subcontractors; conduct site inspections and institute remedial action if required.

• Maintain statistics and records and monitor accident/incident frequencies and safety violations.

• Review documentation for accuracy and provide feedback to personnel.

• Assist in the planning and start-up of new projects with respect to safety issues.

• Inventory safety related training of workers; conduct new worker safety orientations.

• Conduct safety training and toolbox talks.

• Keep management current on the status of any issue(s) that may impact on the work being performed.

• Prepare site safety plans.

• Promote and model safe working conditions.

• Enforce safety regulations and safe work practices.

• Conduct hazard assessments.

• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses as required.

• Prepare and maintain thorough documentation and reports.

   

Qualifications / Requirements

• 4 year degree in Occupational Health & Safety required

• OFA Level 2 required

• Internal Auditor certification designation required

• Minimum 4 years of field safety experience, preferably in an industrial construction or marine environment
